I don't think Bristol's best eateries are found in the obvious places, such as Whiteladies Road, Clifton Village, city centre, ect ect. The gems, while not necessarily hidden, are in places often seen as grotty or out-of-the-way.
What a nasty little article this is. I ate many times at this restaurant and the food was exceptionally good - bursting with freshness and a kaleidoscope of flavours. I regularly recommended it to others and rated it one of the best (and best value) restaurants I'd frequented anywhere, ever. I'm very sad to see that it has now closed its doors.

Pieminister on the centre or in St Nick's is probably your best bet these days... or a pub.
