I took my mum and godmother to Lapin for a post graduation dinner last month and while the food was incredible - and a nice selection of AF drinks for Miss Teetotal over here - there was one big miss that would make me hesitant to recommend it (oh god, that sentence reads like AI, I promise it's from my brain!). When I booked (a few weeks ahead), I noted the dietary needs in my group in the space on the reservations form - my mum has a few things she can't eat, none of which are on the standard list of 14 allergens but which she has to avoid nonetheless... and although the lovely lady who took our order knew about those things (and I think I had given them my card details in case of a no-show), a huge chunk of what was on the (relatively small) menu was off limits to my mum, including the prix fixe. There was a lot of back-and-forth with the kitchen to get details of what she *could* eat, which felt like a discussion which could have happened before we arrived, or after I'd confirmed the booking the day before? I'd happily go again, but would be wary of taking anyone with any food restrictions there... (and I don't want to badmouth them on the Public Internet or in a google maps review, but this feels like a suitable place to mention it?)

Mmm interesting. Might be worth feeding back to them in a private email or something - I’m sure they’d be keen to fix that for future visits
